If
you do not have the Lotus ScreenCam Player already installed on your machine,
the movies will not play. The ScreenCam player
can be downloaded (free) from this
Lotus web page. Note: Win98 and Win2000 users should also follow
the "ScreenCam and Win98 and WIN2000" link from this
page to check compatability.
NOTE:
ScreenCam movies can also be produced as self-executing files (i.e. no
need for the ScreenCam player). These self-executing files are in
preparation and should appear here soon - ish.
Minimum Requirements : ScreenCam
movies need a PC with at least Win
3.1, a sound card and speakers. However, you should be using a higher
specification machine than this in order to be able to run the applets!
Each
ScreenCam is accompanied by a spoken commentary. If you hear no sound
then you may need to adjust the volume control of the speakers and/or
(re)set the sound card.
Viewing
ScreenCam Movies
Different browsers
work in different ways. Depending on the browser you are using, clicking
on any of the above links opens
up a dialogue box that will either allow you to run a ScreenCam movie
directly through your browser or download the ScreenCam movie onto your
PC for offline viewing. In some browsers, you may see a dialogue box relating
to the "Authenticode", this should not cause any problems.
