The applets are available by selecting
"applets" from the menu situated on the left of
this page. Although primarily a mathematics web site, the
applets will extend into other subject areas in which mathematics
is a strong element, engineering for example. Each applet
is accompanied by tutorial worksheets, and most by a theory
sheet. These are in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format and, like
the applets, are also available from the "applets" option
on the left.
A user Feedback Questionnaire is being prepared. If you have any comments on any aspect of MathinSite you'd like to send before the questionnaire is ready, please use the 'Feedback' facility at the bottom of this page.
The philosophy behind the applet / worksheet combination
is to guide users into 'discovering' aspects of mathematics
not necessarily obvious using chalk-and-talk or from reading
a book. Interaction with the software should promote a deeper
insight into each topic and so enhance the users' mathematics
learning experience. Also on this site will be news of any
relevant mathematical developments and links to other important
mathematics web sites worldwide.
