Downloading
Worksheets
and Theory Sheets
Use
the worksheets to gain full benefit from the applets. It is the author's
intention that paper copies are made for use alongside the applets. You
can obtain each tutorial sheet by clicking on the relevant "Yes"
link under the "Work Sheets" heading in the "Applets"
table. NOTE:
All worksheets are in ".pdf" format,
you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read them.
The reader is freely available from Adobe and can
be downloaded from the following link: Depending
on how your Acrobat Reader is set up you will either: (a)
be presented with a dialogue box that gives you the option of viewing
the document from this web site or for downloading on to your computer
(opening the document will automatically load the file into Acrobat Reader,
assuming the reader is already on your computer), or (b)
the document will be loaded directly into Acrobat Reader - in which case
the document can be saved on your computer using "Save" or "Save
as .." from the File menu. Paper
copies of the tutorial sheets can be obtained by printing from the Acrobat
Reader. The
documents can also be saved to your own computer by right-clicking on
the "Yes" link for each document on the "Products"
page and, on a PC, selecting "Save Target As ... " and following
directions.
Details of how to use the applets are contained in the first page of each
worksheet. Only some of the applets have a theory sheet. These are downloaded
/ read / printed in the same way. KNOWN
PROBLEM FOR UNIX USERS: The equations (produced using MS Word's Equation
Editor) may not display when reading the Acrobat documents on a Unix system,
possibly due to an older version of the Acrobat Reader.
